Based on verses written by the 16th century mystic poet Chaitanya Mahaprabhu describing Jagannath as none other than the Krishna of Vrindavan. The piece praises the Lord as He steps out of His Temple Palace in Puri, on the annual chariot festival.
The composition was originally created as a solo for classical odissi by Smt. Madhavi Mudgal.
