The piece
explores Odissi’s pivots of chowk and tribhanga, with
an awareness of the body’s vital points as used in tantric
ritual practices. Akash Yantra was created for the Indira
Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) and performed
at their conference ‘Shaktika on the Ascent’ in
Bhubaneswar as a trio with dancers Masako Ono and Dafne Rusam.
